SAGINAW, MI — Transit, health care and public safety agencies across mid-Michigan will receive $35.3 million in project funding via the $1.7 trillion federal omnibus spending package signed into law late last week.Among the spending items approved were 15 projects submitted by U.S. Rep. Dan Kildee, D-Flint Township, benefiting organizations across Bay, Genesee and Saginaw counties. The largest piece of that $35.3 million in local money — $4.3 million — will fund purchases for upgrades to equipment for several mid-Michigan law enforcement agencies, Kildee said.
