SAGINAW, MI — Shadowy figures lurking on the stairs, books moving on shelves, computers turning on unexpectedly — these are some of the seemingly 'paranormal' activities reported at one of Michigan's historic libraries. Saginaw's Hoyt Public Library, 505 Janes Ave., opened on Nov. 1, 1890. The 133-year-old library is the main branch of the Public Libraries of Saginaw and is home to an award-winning local history and genealogy collection, considered one of the premier LHG collections in the Midwest.
